I’m not sure I see thanatos as an attractor anymore, like I did in my younger years. But I do feel that absence, that nothingness, is vitally important to understanding and feeling the preciousness of time, life, our bodies, and personal expression. We never really appreciate what we have until it’s gone. Those who let us understand and appreciate life before it’s gone are so important to this whole gig.
